Gene Expression Profiling Analysis of Resistant and Susceptible Tea Cultivars in Response to Tea Blister Blight (<i>Exobosidium vexans</i> Massee)

نویسندگان

چکیده

The resistant and susceptible tea cultivars were selected for revealing the defense response mechanism induced by blister blight. DEGs before after infection blight analyzed based on RNA sequencing digital expression spectrum. results showed a total of 974 identified, which 122 co-expressed genes in both cultivars, 364 specific only disease-resistant cultivar, 488 disease-susceptible cultivar. mainly affected levels key involved metabolic pathways, protein processing endoplasmic reticulum, biosynthesis secondary metabolites, plant-pathogen interaction, plant hormone signal transduction, starch sucrose metabolism, phenylalanine, tyrosine tryptophan so on. These included disease resistance gene, hydrolase cell wall reinforcement genes, transcription factor hormones their transduction metabolism oxidase transporter gene differential expressions 6 verified Real-time quantitative PCR, general consistency consistent with transcriptome sequencing. This study preliminarily clarified influence plants this study, laid theoretical foundation researching molecular plants.

Comparative analysis of the response and gene regulation in cold resistant and susceptible tea plants

Cold environment is the main constraint for tea plants (Camellia sinensis) distribution and tea farming. We identified two tea cultivars, called var. sinensis cv. Shuchazao (SCZ) with a high cold-tolerance and var. assamica cv. Yinghong9 (YH9) with low cold-tolerance. To better understand the response mechanism of tea plants under cold stress for improving breeding, we compared physiological an...

Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Candidate Genes involved in Blister Blight defense in Tea (Camellia sinensis (L) Kuntze)

To unravel the molecular mechanism of defense against blister blight (BB) disease caused by an obligate biotrophic fungus, Exobasidium vexans, transcriptome of BB interaction with resistance and susceptible tea genotypes was analysed through RNA-seq using Illumina GAIIx at four different stages during ~20-day disease cycle. Approximately 69 million high quality reads were assembled de novo, yie...

Probing Behavior of Empoasca vitis (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) on Resistant and Susceptible Cultivars of Tea Plants

Feeding activities of the tea green leafhopper, Empoasca vitis (Gothe) (Homoptera: Cicadellidae), on resistant and susceptible cultivars of tea plants (Camellia sinensis L.) were recorded and analyzed using the direct current electrical penetration graph (EPG) system. Six distinct EPG waveforms characterizing the feeding behavior of the tea green leafhopper, categorized as waveforms A, C, E, S,...

Cucumber Response to Sphaerotheca fuliginea: Differences in Antioxidant Enzymes Activity and Pathogenesis-Related Gene Expression in Susceptible and Resistant Genotypes

Cucurbits powdery mildew is one of the most detrimental diseases of cucumber plants worldwide. A detailed insight into the biological processes leading to resistance or susceptibility to the pathogen would pave the road for an efficient disease-resistance breeding program. In the present study, the molecular and biochemical responses of a resistant vs. a susceptible cucumber cultivar infected w...
